In the spirit of the Global Kindness Movement,
employees of the Atlas Oil Company have
united with the purpose of opening their
hearts to effect positive change in their
community. CEO, Sam Simon, generously provides
the funding for the events developed by his
team. Employees donate their personal time to
dream up ideas, and pull together the special
events designed to brighten the lives of
others in their community.
How
the Program Began
"Several days ago, I was contacted by a member of the Marine Corps and was told about a group of Michigan area Marine Reservists that have been called for deployment to Iraq. These brave men and women will be leaving their families and their jobs to fight for the many freedoms that we enjoy and often take for granted as Americans. The soldier told me that the base at which they are stationed, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, lacks the funds to provide these heroes with an appropriate send off party. I am proud to say that on behalf of Atlas Oil Company, I have committed to hosting a party for these Patriots and their families that will never be forgotten. These are good men and women who are serving our nation in a time of war."
